The Youth and Young Adult Mission Team (YYAMT) is responsible for supporting youth and young adult ministry in the UCC Pennsylvania Southeast Conference. Mission Teams in the Conference are ad-hoc committees staffed by volunteers who have a passion for the mission of that team.
Started in 2003, the YYAMT works with youth and leaders to promote and support association, conference, regional, and national youth events and gatherings. The YYAMT strives to have a representative from each Association in the Conference to keep youth, young adults, and youth leaders informed about events and ministry opportunities.
The goals of the YYAMT are to help ignite local church youth and young adult ministries; encourage the spiritual, emotional, and civic development of youth and young adults; integrate resources within the Conference; and provide support for establishing more welcoming environments for youth and young adults.
